The goal of the UTRGV Learning Center is to assist you, our students, by promoting academic success at all levels from freshman core courses all the way through upper-level courses. Our tutors are recommended and hand selected by our faculty based on their content knowledge, as well as their ability to work with students who are at various levels of their academic career.
Our purpose is to help you become independent learners. Everyone in the Learning Center works toward ensuring you succeed by providing various support services in a welcoming friendly environment. What we enjoy the most is seeing the light bulb in our students’ heads go off – that “aha moment.” Stop by and see us at the Learning Center and let us know how we can help you reach your goals.
Summer 2026 Hours
The Learning Commons (Tutoring) will be open with adjusted summer hours as our team is a bit smaller than in the fall and spring, but we’re still here for you! Join us in person at ELCTR 114 & BMSLC 2.107 or online by appointment.
- Monday - 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Tuesday - 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Wednesday - 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Thursday - 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM
- Friday - Closed
The Learning Commons will be closed on Fridays, Thursday, July 2, and Wednesday, July 15.
