Presentation Guidelines


Poster Presenters Guidelines

  • Your poster size should be no more than 36 inches wide by 48 inches tall.
    Poster Template linked below.

  • POSTERS THAT ARE OUTSIDE THESE DIMENSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR DISPLAY. Space is limited and posters outside these dimensions can interfere in the presentation of other posters.

  • ALL Poster Presenters must submit their Final PDF Poster no later than the end of the day Friday August 26, 2022. They will be sent to print in order to set them up for you in the Exhibit Hall prior to the event. If final poster PDF is not submitted by this date, then it will be the responsibility of the presenting author to print and deliver it to the ADR Office prior to the event.

  • ALL Poster Presenters must submit their optional Poster Video (5 minutes max) no later than the end of the day Friday September 2, 2022.

  • To submit your Final PDF Poster and optional video, use the Submission Form link here http://symposium.foragerone.com/utrgv-som-symposium-ichd-recover-2022/submission. You may need to sign up for a Symposium™ account, if you do not already have one, or reset your password.

  • On the Submission Form, you will need to re-submit your Abstract. We will use it to create the Symposium Program Booklet (digital) that will be provided to all presenters and attendees after the Symposium. Make sure your Abstract is in the correct format.

  • ALL posters will be evaluated by a panel of judges and the top poster in each academic category will be recognized during the Awards Ceremony.

  • Final “Presentation Instructions” will be provided on Tuesday August 30, 2022. It will contain final details on how the posters will be presented and the Judging component.

  • About the Poster template, you can modify the color of the top “title” bar and move around the titles/categories, but do not change the dimensions.

Oral Talk Presentation Guidelines

  • Virtual Oral Presenters must submit their Final Presentation video no later than the end of the day Friday September 2, 2022.

  • The video must be done using YouTube which will allows us the best technical specifications for web hosting on the virtual platform we will be using for the Symposium. It must be at least 5 minutes long but not longer than 10 minutes.

    • First, record your video using a camera or other device.

    • Second, upload your video to your account on YouTube.

      • Make sure your “visibility” setting on you video shows as UNLISTED.
        This will keep it off the public domain
        .

    • Lastly, use the following Submission Form to complete the form and your video.

    • Below are some helpful tutorials:

      • Making videos ‘unlisted’ on YouTube

      • Uploading videos to YouTube

  • All videos uploaded to our Symposium virtual site will be available for viewing through Friday September 23, 2022.

  • ALL virtual oral presentations will be evaluated by a panel of judges and the top presentation in each category will be recognized during the Awards Ceremony that day.

  • Final Instructions will be provided Tuesday August 30, 2022. It will include more information on the Judging component.

Oral Flash Talk Presentation Guidelines

  • Oral Flash Talk Presenters will present in person at the Symposium and must submit their Final PPT Presentation by Friday September 2, 2022.

  • Oral Flash Talk Presenters must also submit a Final Presentation Video by Friday September 2, 2022.

  • The video must be done using YouTube which will allows us the best technical specifications for web hosting on the virtual platform we will be using for the Symposium. It must be at least 5 minutes long but not longer than 10 minutes.

  • To submit your PPT & Video:

    • First, record your video using a camera or other device.

    • Second, upload your video to your account on YouTube.

  • Final “Presentation Instructions” will be provided Tuesday August 30, 2022. It will include final details on how the in person oral flash talk presentations will proceed and more information on the Judging component.
