Campus Resources

UTRGV offers many resources which any student, staff, faculty, or other campus community member may find beneficial. Please contact OAVP at 956-665-8287 or OAVP@utrgv.edu if you have any questions about these and other resources. Our services are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL.

  • The Office of Title IX & Equal Opportunity promotes UTRGV's commitment to provide a diverse and inclusive learning and working environment that is free of discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation. OTIXEO investigates and responds to internal and extErnal complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation and coordinates and administers the University’s Title IX response and compliance requirements.   • UTRGV Police Department protects and serves the campus community of students, faculty, staff and visitors throughout the Rio Grande Valley Region by providing professional law enforcement services and actively promoting community involvement through progressive community policing partnership strategies and a commitment to education. The department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In the event of an emergency, please call 956-882-4911. For non-emergencies, you can call 956-665-7151.  
  • Student Health Services Clinic seeks to meet students’ health care needs, so that they can focus and achieve their academic goals. Office visits are free of charge and they provide the same types of services as a family doctor and much more. Their services are confidential and at low costs to students in both the Edinburg and Brownsville campuses. You can contact the Student Health Center by calling (Edinburg) 956-665-2511 (Brownsville) 956-882-3896.
  • Student Food Pantry assists students in need at UTRGV by providing food supplements to those who have been impacted by financial problems/conditions and subsequently are experiencing difficulty meeting their basic need of adequate nutrition. You can contact the Student Food Pantry by calling (Edinburg) 956-665-7126 (Brownsville) 956-882-3663.
  • Campus Residential Life seeks to provide a safe and affordable residential community experience for students that supports and enhances mutual respect, student learning, personal growth and academic achievement.
  • The Academic Advising Center is here to serve and believe in you. As an admitted undergraduate student, you will partner with us to build your overall understanding of UTRGV and learn how to be successful at the University of the 21st Century. Along the way, you'll work with us to discover new academic adventures and craft an educational experience unique to you by discussing educational plans and making appropriate course selections.
  • The UTRGV Counseling Center provides free and confidential counseling services for UTRGV students to address mental health concerns and seeks to promote personal growth and well-being among our campus community through education and outreach activities.
  • The Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP) is part of a national effort to meet the needs of students in recovery from alcohol, drugs, and other addictions. They provide an environment on campus in which students seeking and wanting to sustain recovery can flourish and learn affirmative methods to better manage the challenges of their recovery journey.
