Offering both short-term and long-term stays in the residence halls and apartments. The Department of Housing and Residence Life provides housing to individuals visiting the university and the Rio Grande Valley at all times throughout the year. Availability is limited.
Guest Housing is available to:
- International guests affiliated with UTRGV
- Visiting faculty and staff
- Faculty and staff relocating to the area and in need of transitional housing
- Individuals doing business with the university
- Alumni visiting the area
- Visiting college students participating in internships and workshops with UTRGV businesses and government organizations
To request guest housing, please fill out the corresponding inquiry form below and a representative will contact you. The Guest Housing Inquire Form is not a binding contract and does not guarantee rooms requested. This is a request for consideration for a reservation. Once this form is processed the Department of HRL will send a quote and contract for approval.

$50 nightly rental, a one-time cleaning fee of $35, a one-time Linen Fee $15 per bed.
Single Occupancy in a 2-bed or 4-bedroom Bedroom Apartment
Furnishings, private bathroom (max. 2 people)
$50 nightly rental per person, a one-time cleaning fee of $35, a one-time Linen Fee $15 per bed.
One-Bedroom Apartment
Furnishings, linens, living space, kitchenette, private bathroom (max. 2 people)
$60 nightly rental per person, a one-time cleaning fee of $35, a one-time Linen Fee $15 per bed.
