Dr. Jonatan Reyes
Bio
I am currently an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, and my M.S. and B.S. degrees in Computer Science from UTRGV/UTPA.
My research focuses on advancing Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease studies through the use of federated learning techniques. I have authored and co-authored research papers presented at prestigious international conferences and published in respected journals, including Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) and the International Journal of Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery (IJCARS). Additionally, I have also served as a reviewer for the peer-reviewed MICCAI conference.
