UTRGV officially launched 12twenty, our new career management platform, on April 20, 2026.
All UTRGV students and alumni have access to the new platform (via myUTRGV) where you can:
- Schedule an appointment with a career advisor, or visit during Drop-In Hours for quick support and guidance.
- Explore upcoming events and register for workshops, employer information sessions, career fairs, and networking opportunities hosted by the UTRGV Career Center.
- Upload your resume and application materials, apply for jobs and internships through 12twenty, UTRGV’s official career management platform, and sign up for on-campus interviews.
- Build and manage a list of target employers you’re interested in working for, helping you stay organized and intentional throughout your job or internship search.
- Access real-time insights on career trends, salary data, and employment outcomes to better understand opportunities available to UTRGV students and how they compare nationally.
- Record your internship or employment experience as an Outcome in 12twenty to strengthen your professional profile and track your experiential learning throughout your time at UTRGV.

Get to Know Your Profile
Setting up your profile helps personalize your experience and connect you with opportunities aligned with your career interests and goals. Once logged in, select the Profile tab from the left navigation menu to complete and update your information over time. You may also upload a photo for advising purposes; photos are only visible to Career Center staff.
Your profile allows you to customize:
- Job Preferences – Tailor recommendations based on your interests
- Preferred Functions – Identify the types of work you want to explore
- Preferred Cities & Countries – Indicate geographic preferences
- Demographics, Languages, & Activities
- Contact Information
- Engagement – Track internships, experiential learning, and career experiences
Be sure to click Edit to complete your profile and select Save after making updates.
Home Page Features
After completing your profile, your Home page becomes your central hub for career planning and engagement.
- Announcements – Stay updated on Career Center news, events, and opportunities
- My Calendar – View upcoming appointments, interviews, and registered events
- Recommended Jobs – Explore positions matched to your interests, major, and preferences
- Recommended Events – Discover career fairs, workshops, and employer events tailored to you
- Outcome Submission – Report internships, employment, or post-graduation plans
Keeping your profile updated helps ensure you receive the most relevant opportunities and recommendations throughout your career journey at UTRGV.
You can choose to make your profile visible to employers recruiting UTRGV students and alumni. Until you opt in, your profile will remain hidden from employers. Once enabled, employers may view information you have shared, including your résumé, work experience, and career interests, and may contact you regarding opportunities.
To enable employer visibility:
- Hover over your name at the bottom of the left navigation menu
- Select Account Settings
- Under the General tab, change Allow Employers to Contact Me with Job Opportunities to Yes
- Save your changes
Application Materials
Upload your primary résumé and designate it as your default document for applications. You can also upload additional résumé versions, cover letters, transcripts, recommendation letters, writing samples, and other supporting materials. Students may also include links to online portfolios or professional websites to showcase their work and experiences.
Resume Books
Some colleges and programs use Resume Books to share student résumés directly with employers for recruiting purposes. Visit the Resume Books section to explore opportunities you may be eligible to join.
Employers & Contacts
Explore employers actively recruiting UTRGV students and alumni for internships, part-time roles, and full-time opportunities. You can search organizations by industry, location, or area of interest and select the ♡ icon to save employers to your favorites list.
The Contacts section allows you to connect with recruiters and employer representatives involved in hiring and student engagement. Save contacts whose career areas or opportunities align with your interests.
Target Employers
Your Target Employers page organizes all favorited employers and contacts in one place, making it easier to track organizations, build connections, and stay engaged with opportunities relevant to your career goals.
Jobs & Internships
Search and apply for internships, part-time jobs, full-time positions, fellowships, co-ops, and other career opportunities available to UTRGV students and alumni. Each posting includes details about the position, qualifications, application instructions, and employer information. Some employers allow you to apply directly through 12twenty, and students selected for On-Campus Interviews (OCI) may be able to schedule interview times through the platform.
The Jobs & Internships homepage highlights featured opportunities, quick searches, and recommended postings based on your interests and profile preferences.
Search & Filter Opportunities
Use the Search page within Jobs & Internships to explore opportunities more strategically. Search by:
- Employer
- Job Title
- Industry
- City or Location
- Job Type
The Job Type filter is especially useful for identifying internships, full-time jobs, co-ops, fellowships, and other experiences aligned with your goals.
You can also browse opportunities posted specifically through the 12twenty network, connecting UTRGV students with employers recruiting across partner universities. Select the ♡ icon to save opportunities to your favorites and easily revisit them later.
Events & Career Fairs
Explore and register for Career Center events designed to support your professional development and career success. Events may include workshops, employer information sessions, networking events, career panels, coffee chats, and professional development programs.
The Events section also includes Career Fairs and Expos where students can connect directly with employers recruiting for internships, part-time roles, and full-time opportunities. Be sure to review event details and register early to maximize your experience.
Handshake
While UTRGV is no longer using Handshake as our career management platform, you can continue to use it for their open network of jobs and internships. Sign on with your email and password.
