Surplus, Moves, and Deliveries
Surplus
We manage the transfer and disposal of university-owned items that are no longer needed, including furniture, computer equipment, and other tagged assets. Departments can submit surplus requests through iServiceDesk for non-tagged items or through PeopleSoft for tagged equipment. All transfers follow UTRGV’s asset management policies to ensure proper documentation, accountability, and compliance.
Items that can be submitted for surplus transfer are:
- Furniture
- Computer Equipment
- Tagged University Equipment
Request Items to Be Sent to Surplus
Non-tagged items: Submit a request via iServiceDesk Tagged item(s): Transfer through PeopleSoft (refer to the Assets Management manual – Transfer to Surplus)
Moves and Deliveries
We coordinate and execute office moves and campus deliveries to support departmental transitions and logistical needs. Our team handles the relocation of furniture, equipment, and other items between campus locations. For deliveries, we ensure timely and secure transport of materials across university departments. Requests for moves and deliveries must be submitted through iServiceDesk or PeopleSoft, and proper documentation is required to ensure accountability and compliance with university policies.
