Forklift Operator Training

This training prepares university employees to become authorized lift truck operators through classroom instruction and a written exam, as required by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178. Operators must be trained, employer certified, retrained every 3 years, and wear suitable footwear.

Evacuation Assistant/Fire Extinguisher Training

This training teaches employees fire safety and proper use of fire extinguishers. Participants learn common campus fire causes, evacuation assistant roles, and practice extinguishing a live fire during the hands-on portion.

Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER)

Veolia’s HAZWOPER First Responder Operations Level Refresher meets OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120. It trains responders to take initial defensive actions during hazardous releases, covering hazard awareness, toxic substances, PPE, respiratory protection, monitoring, site control, containment, and decontamination.

First Aid / CPR / AED

This course teaches first aid and CPR basics, including how to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies. Learn CPR, AED use, choking relief, bleeding control, and use of an epinephrine pen or inhaler. Required for police, healthcare, childcare, and select staff; recommended for evacuation assistants.

    • laboratory safety and hazard communication, laser safety, radiation safety, biosafety level 3 (BSL‑3), Bloodborne pathogens, animal research OHS, CITI program
