Valley Baptist Medical Center - Primary Site

Inpatient rotations are conducted at Valley Baptist Medical Center (VBMC), a 450-bed general hospital and the leading referral center for comprehensive and subspecialty care in South Texas. As a Level II Trauma Center serving Cameron County, VBMC offers state-of-the-art services across a wide range of specialties.
The hospital provides advanced care in medical, cardiovascular, surgical, neurological, obstetric, pediatric, and neonatal medicine. Specialized capabilities include:
- Intensive care units for medical, cardiovascular, surgical, neurological, and neonatal/pediatric patients
- Cardiac catheterization with interventional and electrophysiology services
- A full spectrum of surgical specialties, including cardiovascular, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, and urology
- Pulmonary and gastrointestinal endoscopy
- Hemodialysis and outpatient multispecialty diabetes care
- Comprehensive wound care and hospice services
VBMC also houses a robust rehabilitation facility offering inpatient and outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. Radiology services include CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, interventional radiology, and radiation therapy.
