The Government of the United Mexican States prioritizes the attention of Mexicans living abroad with a mission to contribute to their empowerment, integration, and better development. They are convinced that supporting the education of Mexican nationals or persons of Mexican origin living in the United States of America is a key element to achieving better integration into their host societies and contributes to the enrichment of these societies.

Motivated by this desire, The Mexican Consulate in Brownsville and McAllen accepted UTRGV’s “IME-Becas 2023” funding application request providing financial support to UTRGV enrolled students of Mexican or Mexican-Origin for the 2023-2024 academic year.
