Limited Submissions
Limited Submissions are competitive funding opportunities in which the sponsor only allows a limited number of proposals from a given institution. Extra submissions can result in rejection of all those submitted by that institution.
Most grant funding opportunities are considered "open", which means an institution can submit as many proposals as possible they feel are competitive. However, limited submissions opportunities restrict the number of proposals that will be considered. For example, if the institution can only submit one application in response to a specific request for proposals, it would be considered a limited submission.
Limited Submissions are now located on the UTRGV ARGO portal.
The Process
ARGO is an electronic system that streamlines the submission and review of Limited Submission opportunities, providing a significant improvement over the previous email-based process. The entire process is automated, making it easier to submit, review, and track applications from start to finish. Both the submission and internal review and selection processes are completed through ARGO.
