Parking Services
Overview
UTRGV maintains an inventory of almost 11,000 parking spaces distributed across its various campuses. Parking is regulated through a system of permits and citations. Students, faculty, and staff are expected to obtain a permit for use on campus and park in their respective zones. Visitors are expected to obtain temporary permits for use during their visit.

Evening Student Parking Permit
Evening Student parking permits are available at the discounted rate of $40.00 (annually)
- Students that are only attending classes after 4 PM (not valid from 7:00AM-3:59PM) qualify for this permit.
- Permit holders can park in Zones 1 & 2, after 4 PM.
If you qualify for the evening permit, please visit our parking office and have your course schedule handy for quick service. If you are interested in a semester evening permit, please ask one of our representatives in the parking office; evening permits will be available for sale after August 1st. The purpose of UTRGV’s Parking & Traffic Advisory Committee (PTAC) is to review parking and traffic regulations and to develop recommendations for revisions in these regulations as are necessary to an efficient parking and traffic system as it relates to differential parking zones, parking fees, penalties for violations of regulations, arrangements for bicycles, motorcycles, and pedestrian traffic. Faculty, staff, or students desiring a policy change to the Parking Rules and Regulations should contact the committee coordinator, Melissa Sandoval, at melissa.sandoval@utrgv.edu.
The committee meets periodically. If you are interested in becoming a part of the PTAC or attending a meeting, please contact Melissa Sandoval at melissa.sandoval@utrgv.edu. The Student Government Association appoints student representatives. Contact them at sgapresident@utrgv.edu.
Please provide as much information as possible for superior coordination of your event. This form must be submitted at least ten (10) business days before the event date.
Request Virtual Parking Permit Exchange
Please provide as much information as possible for a successful permit exchange. Please contact Parking Services at (956) 882-7051 if you do not receive confirmation of your permit exchange within two (2) business days. Please note that a $5.00 restocking fee will be added to permits that are exchanged for an upgrade/downgrade.
