The UTRGV Gulf Scholars Program is proud to partner with the university's departments and colleges to develop and provide a multidisciplinary, billingual academic learning experience to our GSP student scholars. Collaboration with campus partners ensures that our student scholars have access to university student services as they commplete their year-long commitment to the program.
Offices

The Career Center offers essential services to help undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni with formulating and implementing career plans.

The Office for Bilingual Integration facilitates the process through which the university becomes a bilingual institution.

The Office of Community Engagement gets involved in partnerships and coalitions that help mobilize resources and influence systems and serve as catalysts for initiating and/or changing policies, programs, and practices.

The Office of Engaged Scholarship & Learning supports student learning experiences beyond the classroom by helping students integrate and enrich academic knowledge, gain professional experience, and develop skills through hands-on learning opportunities.

The OIA maintains compliance with the principles, standards, and policies of the SACSCOC, managing the process to ensure that all academic programs, both new and existing, align with policies and guidelines provided by the University, discipline specific accreditors, the UTS, and the THECB; and supporting the completion of University reports for both internal and external constituents.

The Office for Sustainability’s mission is to advance the principles of sustainability through the continuing existence of a healthy, safe, and environmentally sustainable campus that enhances individual health, community well-being, and positive teaching/learning experiences, while maximizing efficiencies, accessibility, and affordability by educating and empowering faculty, students, staff, and community to enact change on our campus and the region.

The Translation and Interpretation Office serves UTRGV’s divisions, units and departments in publishing translating materials to meet the quality expectations of a bilingual higher-education institution.

Need help brainstorming your marketing strategies, publications, and materials? Do you have a UTRGV story that needs to be told? Marketing and Communications (UMC) is The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s in-house marketing and communications office.

Working in partnership with faculty and staff throughout the University, the student success division includes programming and offices that support students in preparing for college, being successful in their university courses, developing their own leadership and strengths, and selecting a pathway for entering a rewarding career.

The Center for Student Involvement encourages students to engage in transformative experiences that serve as the foundation of their leadership identity through the creation of tailored programs to maximize student success.

The Academic Advising Center help undergraduate students learn how to be successful in UTRGV from start to finish.

UTRGV CEP aims to develop highly qualified, multi-culturally responsive leaders and scholars to become catalysts for educational success in the Rio Grande Valley and society at large.

Empowering creativity, fostering innovation, and nurturing artistic excellence, the UTRGV College of Fine Arts is dedicated to inspiring the next generation to make meaningful contributions to the local and global community through their talents and perspectives with a focus on arts entrepreneurship, emerging technology, transdisciplinary collaboration, and global citizenship.

The Robert C. Vackar College of Business & Entrepreneurship promotes student success and catalyzes innovation, knowledge discovery, and economic development in South Texas, Northern Mexico, and beyond.

As the largest and most multidisciplinary college at UTRGV, we offer 12 academic departments, 42 degree programs, and a wide range of courses essential for all students. With nearly 7,000 students and more than 300 faculty members, we provide a dynamic and comprehensive educational experience.

The Coastal Studies Lab (CSL) is dedicated to providing educational opportunities, enhancing research, engaging in public service, and providing community outreach related to coastal and marine concerns in the Gulf of Mexico with special emphasis on the South Texas region.

The School of Social Work is committed to preparing generalist and advanced professional social workers to meet the needs of a bi-national and multicultural community. The educational emphasis is on social work practice with Latinos considering multicultural competence, ethical practice, knowledge building, and social services that promote social and economic justice.

School of Nursing offers accredited programs, including BSN, MSN, DNP, and post-master's certificates in Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner specialties. Approved by the Texas Board of Nursing and CCNE accredited, we prepare future leaders in healthcare.

Founded in 2013, the UTRGV School of Medicine educates students and graduate physicians, provides patient care, and performs advanced scientific research.
