Application Guidelines
The application consists of
- a letter of interest that explains why the student is interested in the UTRGV GSP and reasons for applying
- a letter of recommendation from a faculty member that speaks to the student's intellectual curiosity, academic readiness and interests, fit for the program etc.
- a resume
- an unofficial transcript
The application packet can be developed in English or Spanish. The letter of interest can be submitted in writing or in video format.
Application Deadline: October 31st, 2025
The Gulf Scholars Program leadership team will be hosting information sessions Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 3:30pm in Edinburg and Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 10:30am in Brownsville.
