Event Committee & Event Resources Checklist
The Events Committee is a cross-divisional committee that serves as a resource to the members of the UTRGV community in the planning of events hosted by or in partnership with UTRGV. The Events Committee is guided by policies and procedures set forth in The University of Texas System Regents’ Rules and Regulations and UTRGV Handbook of Operating Procedures.
The goals of the Events Committee are to:
- maximize opportunities and resources for broader institutional impact
- ensure that events are appropriately branded and advertised
- assist in aligning events to university goals and designing them with a measurable return on investment
- promote compliance with all applicable regulations to protect the health and safety of the general public, as guided by the Office of Environmental Health Safety and Risk Management
