We lead the planning of events that tell the UTRGV story, such as promoting partnerships, construction projects, and other initiatives. The team also coordinates UTRGV's activation at community events and serves as a resource to university departments for creating meaningful, well-executed events that advance UTRGV's mission.
Who We Collaborate With
The Strategic Events team is part of the UTRGV Events Committee, a cross-divisional committee who collaborates in developing and sharing tools for event planners, including the Event Resources Checklist.
How We Help Support UTRGV Departments
The Event Resources Checklist centralizes everything planners need to prepare successful events—from arranging accessibility accommodations, organizing program details, and coordinating facilities services. It supports consistent, accessible, and well-executed events across the university.
