Annual Translation Event
Every year, Translation & Interpreting Programs organizes an evening that highlights contemporary issues of translation and interpreting in society. Speakers are selected from UTRGV’s faculty and from the professional and government service spheres. At the event outstanding students in our program are awarded scholarships.
TAJIT Training Workshop
The Texas Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators and Translation & Interpreting Programs co-organize a yearly training workshop at UTRGV’s Brownsville campus. The workshop is aimed at developing the skills of professional court interpreters, and UTRGV translation and interpreting students are invited to attend.
