Viridiana Zúñiga is a translator and interpreter, born in Matamoros and raised in Matlapa, Mexico. Viridiana holds a BA in Translation and Interpreting and a Certificate in Medical Interpreting from UTRGV legacy institution University of Texas at Brownsville. She is a member of the Oregon Society of Translators and Interpreters.
Her first interpreting job was for WIRED magazine. Since then, she has provided services for in-patient mental health facilities, Child Protective Services, immigration, criminal and family court, prisons, and non-profits. She also worked with the U.S. Department of Health during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Viridiana is currently completing coursework for the Masters in Spanish Translation and Interpreting at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
