The rich diversity that’s brought to UTRGV by international students is a crucial element of our special culture and a truly distinctive aspect of our community. We celebrate each other’s differences in a way that is welcoming and inclusive for everyone, while also embracing the fact that each and every student here is joined by a common desire for a world-class education.
The mission of the Office of the International Student Services is to provide support to our UTRGV international student population.
Our services include:
- Advising on international admissions requirements from the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
- Conducting orientation and cultural events to help our international students to integrate and adjust to the new academic, cultural, and social life at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
- Serving as a liaison with our U.S. governmental agencies, U.S. Consulates, and sponsors that support international student education.
- Connecting our international student population with the community, volunteer programs, student organizations, and campus services available to them.
