As a member of the Office of Student Success and the Graduate College, the Doctoral Writing Specialist provides expert support and guidance for doctoral students of all disciplines in the planning, drafting, revising, and editing of their doctoral-level writing assignments and dissertations.
What does the Doctoral Writing Specialist do?
- Works closely with doctoral faculty, program directors, dissertation chairs, the Graduate College, and other University partners to co-design and implement strategies and initiatives that support the writing needs of doctoral students.
- Provides direct writing feedback through one-on-one or small group writing consultations to support students involved in the dissertation process and those submitting assignments at the doctoral level.
