Risk Management

The Center for Student Involvement has established a 3-step process for student organizations to complete the annual Risk Management Training requirement.

Risk management training is essential to ensure student safety and well-being. It equips student leaders with the tools to manage risks and create a secure environment, reflecting our commitment to their success and safety. It covers issues such as substance abuse, hazing, sexual harassment, safety protocols, and more.

During re-registration, student organizations designated two officers to complete risk management. If your organization needs to designate a new officer to complete this requirement, please email getinvolved@utrgv.edu.

Follow the steps below to complete the training and certification.

Steps to complete the training and certification.

Step 1

Two officers must attend the L.E.A.D. Conference on Saturday, September 28 to receive the one-hour training.

Step 2

A trained advisor or officer shall present the risk management training at a full membership meeting.

Step 3

The organization must submit a certification form on V Link to confirm the full membership received a report on the training by Thursday October 31, 2024.
