2020 Lamb Harvesting Workshop
We went out to co-director of SARA, George Bennack’s Home in Lyford where he and Agriculture Specialist, Mr. Cruz Salinas, led us through the steps of harvesting a lamb and a hog. We also went out to Mr. Salinas farm where he maintains an organic farm. This experience taught us valuable lessons in the importance of sustainable farming, self-sustaining homes, and we also discussed the drainage and irrigation of the RGV.
