UTRGV Strategic Plan
UTRGV has sustainability as an area of focus with the goal of institutionalizing sustainability throughout the university and promoting sustainability awareness in the community. With key initiatives such as implementing sustainability performance measures and continuous improvement on our campuses to align with best practices, strengthening faculty capacity to infuse sustainability into the curriculum and scholarly initiatives, collaborating with community partners on shared sustainability goals, encouraging and supporting sustainable community–based entrepreneurial initiatives, and increasing performance with an annual sustainability assessment program in alignment with The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education – Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (AASHE-STARS).
