Strategic Plan Scorecard

This strategic plan identifies five critical strategic objectives to emphasize, and associated goals to achieve over the next three academic years. This plan’s initial implementation year is AY 2022 and has two consecutive three-year timeframes. By the end of the third academic year, the strategic objectives will be reviewed. Results from the review will inform our decision to renew the strategic objectives with new goals and implement new strategic objectives and goals in the subsequent three-year period. These objectives and their corresponding goals were developed to advance the mission of RCV and help it achieve its aspirational vision of positively impacting our stakeholders.

This dashboard shows data from year 2021 and will be updated each year with the latest data.

We are supporting the success of our undergraduate and graduate students with our new comprehensive recruitment strategy and strong grant program to support student organizations, travel opportunities and competitions and internships will positively impact our enrollment, retention, and graduation rates. Along with this, we will develop a system to track our undergraduate and graduate placement and alumni accomplishments and entrepreneurial activity.

Recruiting and retaining experienced research faculty will strongly support our publication goals shown below. This will be achieved by strengthening our faculty experience with a new workload policy, establishing an award system for research, teaching and service, incentivizing grant writing, promoting intellectual exchange, mentorship, and professional development, among other initiatives to promote faculty well-being.

STRENGTHEN AND EXPAND INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC PARTNERSHIPS

To achieve our goals listed below, we will develop incentives to obtain sponsored research, cultivate and strengthen our partnerships to promote fundraising initiatives, and organize internal and external fundraising and donor appreciation events. To support these initiatives, we will develop a sustainable infrastructure including a multiplatform database to recognize our donors.

We will conduct focus groups and surveys to identify the needs and priorities of local and regional economic development partners and continue promoting our Center for Innovation and Commercialization. To make this a sustainable goal, we will develop a systematic process to document RCV team’s engagement in economic development. We know motivation is a key factor to accomplish these goals, and we will reward and support our successful entrepreneurs and MSMEs leaders, especially those embeded in the curriculum (e.g., sustainability-focused, experiential/community-engaged scholarship projects, faculty consulting etc.)
