Dr. Janna Arney
Dr. Janna Arney was a distinguished leader in higher education, serving as the Executive Vice President and Provost at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). A native of Brownsville, Texas, Dr. Arney dedicated her career to advancing education in the Rio Grande Valley, where she was instrumental in UTRGV’s expansion, guiding the institution through significant growth. Dr. Arney demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout her tenure, spearheading initiatives that enhanced academic offerings and operational efficiencies at UTRGV.
Known for her dedication and commitment, Dr. Arney credits her success to her family's support and her deep connection to the Valley. Now retired, Dr. Arney’s legacy of dedication and excellence continues to inspire the UTRGV community.
