1. Search UTRGV and External Scholarships
A variety of UTRGV and external scholarships are available and awarded based on a variety of qualifications. Some of these scholarships are not accessed through the UTRGV Scholarship Universe. You will be guided on where to learn more and how to apply for these scholarships.
2. Search the UTRGV Scholarship Universe Database
The UTRGV Scholarship application opens doors to millions of dollars and provides a path to help pay for your education. You can be matched to UTRGV and external scholarships as you answer questions in the Questions tab.

4. Graduate Scholarship
The UTRGV School of Nursing is offering newly admitted Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students an opportunity to help fund their graduate studies. This competitive scholarship provides a one-time award of up to $1,000 for the Fall 2026 semester.
Eligibility Requirements- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be officially enrolled no later than August 15, 2026.
- Must be a newly admitted DNP student for Fall 2026.

5. Grad Momentum Incentive Scholarship

At The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, we are focused on helping you take that next step with the support and flexibility you need to succeed. That is why we are introducing the Grad Momentum Incentive!
Through the Grad Momentum Incentive, you can earn up to $2,000 to support your progress as you move through your grad degree. This opportunity is available to new graduate students and readmitted students returning to continue their program.
