Spanish Club Logo

The purpose of the Spanish Club shall be to promote the understanding and appreciation of the Spanish language and Hispanic culture among the students at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. The Club aims to provide a platform for cultural exchange, language practice, and the celebration of Hispanic traditions. Lastly, it proposes to foster friendly relations with other clubs from the university and organizations, as well as the community, and to work with them to better understand diversity through cultural awareness.

SIGMA Delta PI Logo

The official name of the chapter of Sigma Delta Pi National Collegiate Honor Society located at UTRGV shall be: Sigma Delta Pi, National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, Chapter Alpha Alpha Iota. In Spanish: Sigma Delta Pi, La Sociedad Nacional Honoraria Hispánica, Capítulo Alpha Alpha Iota.
 
Our purposes are:
1. To honor those who attain excellence in the study of the Spanish language and in the study of the literature and culture of the Spanish-speaking peoples;
2. To honor those who have made the Hispanic contributions to modern culture better known in the English-speaking world;
3. To encourage UTRGV students to acquire a greater interest in and a deeper understanding of Hispanic culture;
4. To foster friendly relations and mutual respect between the nations of Hispanic speech and those of English speech;
5. To serve its membership in ways which will contribute to the attainment of the goals and ideals of the society.

Student Association for Medical Spanish Logo

The purpose of the Student Association for Medical Spanish is to support the local Hispanic community through cultural and social events, such as toy drives, fundraisers, donation events, etc. The organization has the mission to provide support to other organizations that aim to aid the local community. Our goal is to make an impact and promote cultural events and encourage students to get involved with the community.
