About
Dr. Uma Malik joined the Department of Civil Engineering as an Assistant Professor of Practice in Fall 2024. Dr. Malik has more than eight years of industry experience as a consultant in various sectors, including petroleum engineering, residential and commercial land development, natural resource management, solid waste management, water supply engineering, and water resources engineering. Additionally, she has years of experience as a scientist focused on reviewing technologies being developed for individuals with disabilities and empowering women. For the last several years, Dr. Malik has been teaching and mentoring students at the associate, bachelor's, and master's levels and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.
