Accessibility Statement

At the Writing Center, our goal is to help each and every student grow in their writing skills. We aim to promote learning, foster independence, and increase confidence and ability.

At the Writing Center, we believe every student deserves access to learning, and that all the languages a student brings with them to the University have inherent value. For this reason, we strive to create a comfortable and accessible space for all UTRGV students. We work closely with Student Accessibility Services and other programs to meet the unique needs of all students. Additionally, tutors are trained to incorporate Universal Design Principles into their tutoring sessions.

For questions and concerns regarding the physical accessibility of the buildings, including entryways, pathways, furniture, elevators, and lighting, please contact us.

Additionally, our virtual services remain open to all students to greater facilitate the needs of all students and increase access.

If you have any further questions, comments, or concerns regarding the accessibility of the Writing Center, please feel free to contact us or SAS (ability@utrgv.edu).

We look forward to working with you soon!
