Now that you’re in, make sure you check off each box as you complete each item. Note: You may have already completed a few of the steps and some of the other steps may not apply to you. Just check those off and continue to the next one.

• Activate your UTRGV Account
This is your Vaquero lifeline. All information regarding your classes, student accounts, announcements and more will come to your UTRGV email address.
• Send us any College Credit you’ve Earned
• Sign up for New Student Orientation
Don’t delay. Keep an eye out for orientation dates and sign up. You will enroll in your classes and the best selections come at the beginning. SIGN UP FOR NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION
• Check your TSI Status
• Provide Documentation for Meningitis Vaccine
Beginning Spring 2014, all new students under the age of 22 must submit evidence of receiving the meningitis vaccine or booster shot (administered within the past five years) or evidence of exemption before they can enroll.
All documents submitted become the property of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Original documents submitted or copies will not be returned to the student. We recommend keeping a copy of your vaccination record.
• Check on your Financial Aid and Scholarships Awards
• Make Arrangements for On-Campus Housing
• Turn in your Final High School Transcript
This is really important. Your final high school transcript reflects your completion and this information is necessary for your admissions file.
