HOW TO APPLY

All applications for UTRGV Neurology Residency Program should be made using the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). UTRGV neurology programs match via the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). Given the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are following ACGME and NRMP recommendations and timelines, and we will conduct all residency recruitment activities virtually during the 2022-2023 application season.

UTRGV neurology program accepts International Medical Graduates (IMG) but sponsor only J-1 Visas.

Common Applicant Qualifications

  • Applicants must be eligible to graduate from an approved American or Canadian medical or osteopathic school or hold permanent certification by the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
  • Applicants must be eligible for a Texas Physician-in-Training Permit

Please make sure the items below are included with your ERAS application:

  • MSPE or Dean's letter from your medical school
  • Medical school transcripts
