SHIP-GEO

GEOPATHS: Stimulating Hispanic Participation in the Geosciences (SHIP-GEO)

Investigators: Chu-Lin Cheng, Juan Gonzalez, Jihoon Kang, Carlos Cintra-Buenrostro, Jude Benavides, Elizabeth Heise.

Award Amount: $464,958.00

Award Period: August 2016 - August 2020

Project Information: SHIP-GEO’s goal is to contribute to diversifying and reducing the predicted shortage in the US geoscience workforce (Earth, Environmental, and Marine Sciences) for the coming decade. The project’s goal will be accomplished by implementing activities geared toward student awareness, recruitment and retention, and sustaining the activities beyond the award period.
