Computer Use Policy
Meeting the information needs of library users is integral to the mission of the UT Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine Libraries. The library staff endeavors to develop collections, resources and services to meet these needs. It is within this context that the library offers access to the Internet and other electronic resources. Any health-related information searching is a legitimate use of these resources.
- Community Users/Non-Affiliated Health Professionals: Computers are not available to community users for general use. Area health professionals and community users seeking medical information may be allowed to use School of Medicine Library computers to access library resources. Please visit the Information Desk or call ahead to (956) 296-1500 for more information.
- UTRGV Affiliates: Students, faculty and staff of the UT Rio Grande Valley may use any of the desktop PCs in the School of Medicine Libraries. A UTRGV network login is required.
- Visiting Medical Students: Visiting medical students should visit a library information desk to request an access code for library computers.
- Personal Devices: The Eduroam wireless network is available to UTRGV affiliates with appropriate login credentials.
