Global Vaquero Distinction

The GVD offers you the opportunity to:

  • Explore and learn about the world.
  • Graduate as global citizens.
  • Understand world problems and have the skill set to contribute to solving those problems.
  • Gain better communication skills with more people.
  • Network on a global scale.
  • Increase confidence, curiosity, empathy, resilience, and assertiveness.
  • Open up more career choices and be more attractive to future employers.
  • And more.

In order to earn the GVD you will need to earn at least 8 points by participating in some of the following: global courses, education abroad, language proficiency, global scholarly work or forums, and campus intercultural activities. After obtaining a minimum of 8 points you will attend an International Study Programs (ISP) capstone seminar.
