ATTENDIFY

To enhance your virtual conference experience, we will be using Attendify’s virtual event platform. To participate in available sessions, interact with other attendees, and win some prizes, make sure to visit our virtual conference platform or download the Attendify mobile app.  If you choose to download the mobile app, you will want to enable push notifications to stay up-to-date on the latest conference news and challenges.

• If you've used the Attendify App for a previous event, it will prompt you for your password. You may reset the password with your email.
• If you've never used Attendify, you will be prompted to setup your own password to use and keep throughout the conference. Please use the email address that you used to register for this event. If you are not sure what email you used, please contact us at eolc@utrgv.edu
• After you login to Attendify, you should see the Excellence in Online Learning Conference listed under “Your Events”.

Once you login, you'll land on the TOWN HALL page of the platform which is the main hub for the conference. Here you will see navigation tabs to different conference features on the left side, current live sessions and a social activity stream in the middle, and a list of other participants who have logged in before on the right. In the top bar is a limited search function (the mobile version is more robust for the search feature), your profile details, and messages & notifications.

• Get started in the platform by updating your PROFILE in the top right corner with your contact info, bio, learning objectives, and photo.
• Then, visit the WELCOME MESSAGE to review the warm welcome message from our COLTT director.
• The AGENDA is where you will join the various conference sessions, see session details, handouts, session evaluation and the Zoom session connection.
• The ACTIVITY STREAM will show the latest updates, messages from speakers and attendees, and offer you the opportunity to post your own comments to all attendees. The most active participants on the Activity Stream will have a chance to win prizes, so take time to engage with creative posts and commenting!
• Review the different SPEAKERS that will be presenting in this conference.

ZOOM

All conference sessions will be hosted via Zoom. Each session will have a Zoom window to click to enter the event at the scheduled start time. Just like a Zoom session, you will be prompted for your name, please sign-in with your university or personal Zoom account to record your attendance.

We highly recommend that you download and utilize the Zoom desktop client as many in-session features are unavailable on the web browser client. Only use the web client if you cannot access the other options. To download Zoom: visit the Zoom Download Center, click on the Download button under “Zoom Client for Meetings".

You will be able to post comments and interact with the presenter(s) and other session attendees via the Zoom chat and the Attendify app. The last 10 minutes of the presentation are designated for Q&A.

GOOSECHASE

To create some gamification challenges, we will be using GooseChase. You will have the opportunity to win some prizes by participating in these challenges. For more information please refer to the GooseChase player instructions.
