Couples Counseling

Couples both 18 years of age and older may receive relationship counseling if both are currently enrolled UTRGV students. Relationship concerns may encompass a wide range of issues such as:

  • Making decisions about readiness to make a commitment
  • Renegotiating expectations and roles
  • Parenting conflicts
  • Communication difficulties
  • Managing a separation or divorce
Highly trained counselors will help you and your partner examine the relationship with the goal of making it healthier. The focus of relationship counseling may be on improving communication, problem-solving, or finding solutions to difficult questions and conflicts.

Relationship counseling is available for mixed gender or same-sex couples, roommates, and can include premarital, marital, or divorce counseling.
