The Texas Association of Addiction Professionals (TAAP) is the state affiliate of NAADAC, The National Association for Addiction Professionals. TAAP seeks to promote the advancement of Addiction Professionals by uniting addiction counseling professionals throughout Texas. United we have a voice in critical matters relating to our profession, as well as those we serve. The Texas Rehabilitation Association (TRA) is a 501 C-3 nonprofit organization consisting of people who are dedicated to:
Promoting the profession of rehabilitation to the public,
Enhancing opportunities for Texans with disabilities,
Stimulating a rehabilitation environment, and
Promoting quality rehabilitation services by organizations and individuals.
Our members include public and private rehabilitation counselors, rehabilitation administrators, rehabilitation educators, social workers, job placement specialists, consultants, qualified rehabilitation professionals, medical professionals (physical therapy, speech, occupational therapy), community rehabilitation professionals, and others involved in the provision of advocacy of services or programs for people with disabilities.

Scholarships
A funding opportunity for our graduate students in the Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling program.
This scholarship provides financial support for students' tuition and fees, a monthly stipend, travel, and conferences as well as certification exam fees (i.e., CRC). RSA Scholars are required to complete their internship experience within the Vocational Rehabilitation field (site approval is required prior to experience by RSA Advisor and Project Director Dr. Elizabeth Chavez-Palacios) and to obtain qualified employment within to meet "payback" requirements.
Upon completion of the program, students are given a 2-year grace period prior to requiring RSA Scholars to obtain 'qualified employment' within the Vocational Rehabilitation Services field to "pay back" their scholarship at the ratio of 2 years per every academic year funded.

Brain Injury Association of America Partnership Scholarship
Amount Awarded: Up to US $250 per person
Eligibility: Caregivers and Direct Care Staff
Application Deadline: Ongoing, yearly scholarship allowance of $5,000
The Brain Injury Association of America and Pilot International are excited to announce a partnership and scholarship opportunity for caregivers! Family caregivers and direct care staff facing the challenges of caring with an individual (or individuals) with brain injury may apply to receive a scholarship of up to $250 to obtain the Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists’ Brain Injury Fundamentals Certificate.
The Pilot International Brain Injury Fundamentals Scholarship Fund was established in 2018 to expand Pilot’s efforts for promoting awareness of brain-safe practices, injury prevention, and mindful behavior; as well as for supporting those who care for individuals with brain injury. An amount of $5,000 per year is dedicated to funding individual scholarships for the Fundamentals Certificate Program. Awards of up to $250 per person, up to $5,000 annually, are provided.
The Fundamentals Certificate provides training to direct care staff and individual caregivers on the best level of care for people living with brain injury. The topics covered include cognition, medical complications, medication safety, and management, as well as the physical and emotional burdens faced by families coping with the injury.
Amount Awarded: Varies, but does not exceed US $2,500
Eligibility: Graduating High School Seniors & Undergraduates (non-U.S. students only)

The KC International Scholarship funded by an anonymous donor was established in 2017 to provide financial assistance to international students pursuing careers that further the mission of Pilot International by seeking to influence positive change in communities throughout the world. The applicant must have a record of active participation in volunteer service and show outstanding leadership ability. The applicant should reflect on their cumulative community service, leadership ability, and career choice when completing the application. Scholarships are based on community service, leadership roles, career choice, academic success, and application content. Scholarships are awarded for one academic year. The award amount will not exceed $2,500 per year for full- time students. Two individual scholarships will be awarded each year. The applicant must be a full-time student and remain a full-time student for the duration of the scholarship.
