20 Years of Dedication Dr. Kathy Bussert-Webb Now Retiring
We are sad to announce that Dr. Kathy Bussert-Webb will be retiring at the end of this month. Kathy worked at UTRGV and the legacy institution UTB/TSC since 2000, teaching undergraduate and graduate reading courses. She has been heavily involved in service learning and community engagement projects, particularly focusing on work with children and families in Proyecto Juan Diego in Brownsville. Kathy was named C. Bascom Slemp Endowed Chair in Education in 2017.
The Department of Bilingual and Literacy Studies would like to thank Kathy for her dedication to her students and the local community and for her many contributions to our department.
