Welcome to the UTRGV Department of Biology website! 

We are a distributed campus with faculty located in Brownsville and Edinburg.  The Department is committed to excellence in teaching and research.  With over 50 faculty members, we have a broad group of expertise spanning practically all areas of biology.  This translates to many unique opportunities for students in the classroom, the field, and the laboratory.
