Welcome to the Office of the Provost at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV)! 

It is my honor to serve as the Provost of UTRGV. As the University’s chief academic officer, I aim to ensure excellence in teaching and research activities across the institution while promoting a culture of innovation, scholarly inquiry, and inclusivity. However, I do not achieve this alone. Each day, our dedicated team works tirelessly to support UTRGV's academic programs, faculty development, and, above all, successful student outcomes. Sustaining this pursuit is challenging, but it is essential to accomplishing UTRGV’s mission. That is our job. Today, upholding those ideals is more critical than ever for us and future generations. We hope you will join us on this journey.
