Insurance

Insurance is required for youth programs that are practicing any sports, staying overnight, or being left under the custodial care of UTRGV.

Steps to follow through the UT System Office of Risk Management (ORM) Camp Portal:

1.  You may access the Online Insurance Form in the ORM Camp Portal with your institution credentials. Click New Camp Application, after that then choose which type of camp will they be hosting: Nonsport, sport, or online, and the respective application will appear. Note the form will not let you submit it without answering all questions.

2.  A copy of your submission is sent to UT System ORM Camp Policy Coordinator for further processing.

3.  Southwest Special Risk Insurance will send documents to the camp contact listed on the application from Tammy Westbrook tammy_westbrook@outlook.com

4.  Once camp is finished, Southwest will send program directors an audit form that needs to be filled out with the actual number of students that attended the youth program. They must return to Tammy_westbrook@outlook.com within 72 hours and an invoice will be sent from Tammy_westbrook@outlook.com address for payment.

5.  Youth Program Directors must pay after the completion of the youth program. Failure may result in the non-acceptance of future camp applications. Feel free to contact the Youth Program Support Manager in case of any questions at 956-665-2522 or youthprogramprotection@utrgv.edu
