Director
Dr. Jesus Gonzalez is an Assistant Professor of Practice at the College of Engineering and Computer Science. He holds a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. Dr. Gonzalez has broad experience in the automotive industry, where he worked for more than 19 years before joining the university in 2016. He is currently the academic advisor for the Engineering Technology Program and Director of TexPREP.
His research interest is in the mechanical properties of materials, metrology systems, and engineering education. He has participated in several research projects and grants as a PI and Co-PI.
