Welcome Week

Taking place at the start of Fall and Spring semesters, join us for Welcome Week, which includes a variety of events that provide new and returning students, staff, and faculty with the opportunity to meet fellow Vaqueros and participate in campus traditions.

In February, students, faculty, staff, alumni, families, and the community come together during Homecoming to Honor our Legacy and Build our Future.

UTRGV Madness Week

Madness Week

In collaboration with UTRGV Athletics, the Campus Activities Board and The Herd; Student Activities helps create week-long events to increase school spirit and celebrate the men's & women's teams. On the Friday of that week, the Fieldhouse turns into a madhouse, with the Pep Band performing alongside Cheer & Dance teams, student organizations competing in the annual dance-off, and athletes competing in games. All ending with a preview of the men's & women's basketball teams as they get ready to start the season.
