Student Union in Brownsville Campus

Join Student Activities, Campus Activities Board, and the Student Union for an afternoon of celebration in honor of the City of Brownsville's annual Charro Days festivities. The festival will feature:

Location: BSTUN Lawn

  • Joint performance by Ballet Folklórico Tizatlán de UTRGV and Brownsville Early College High School Dancing Stars.
  • Performance by Mariachi 7 Leguas
  • "Best Dressed" and "Grito" contests (Attendees may register on-site.)
  • Student organizations' fundraisers selling delicious food items
  • Exhibit presented by the Brownsville Historical Association and an educational experience provided by the Gladys Porter Zoo.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to dress in traditional Mexican attire.
