Vaqueros Star Line

Proudly established in November 2023 as an expansion the UTRGV Spirit Program, the Vaqueros Star Line was created to expand the university’s tradition of school spirit and performance excellence, bringing dynamic entertainment, precision routines, and game day energy to halftime. Their iconic uniforms—complete with traditional boots and hats—celebrate Texas heritage while energizing fans and strengthening community pride and enhancing game-day excitement.

From its early days, the team has embodied the energy, pride, and passion of Vaquero Nation, giving students a new platform to showcase their talent while enhancing the game-day experience and strengthening the Spirit Program’s impact on the UTRGV community.

A pivotal expansion of the Spirit Program, the Vaqueros Star Line lights up the field every halftime with bold energy, show-stopping performance, and true Texas flair, dazzling audiences with precision, high-kick lines, intricate formations, and stunning visual effects.

This expansion not only elevates the Spirit Program’s presence and versatility, but also ensures a lasting legacy of tradition, excellence, and engagement for future Vaqueros.

The Vaqueros Star Line prides itself on high-quality performance execution, stage presence, and jazz, pom, and high kick techniques.
