Research Overview

As an interdisciplinary, environmental social scientist, my scholarship sits at the nexus of human geography, public policy, and environmental sociology. In my research program, I use social science methods and a collaborative research approach to:

  • Analyze how people perceive and adapt to social-ecological change at the individual, household, community, and organizational scales.
  • Investigate how intersecting factors of social inequality (gender, migration status, class, citizenship, race/ethnicity) shape how people adapt at multiple scales.
  • Inform organizations on ways to be more inclusive with policymaking.
