Dear Colleagues,

Today, we acknowledge and celebrate every one of you whose work plays a critical role in enabling UTRGV’s research community to remain focused on their scholarly work and make their research possible in many significant ways.

Research administrators play a critical role supporting faculty in their efforts to generate funding and advance important work in a wide range of transdisciplinary fields. Research administrators are the engines of the UTRGV Research Enterprise.

Over the last year, we have had much to celebrate in the area of research administration at UTRGV. Through our Division of Research, with the support of our colleagues, we have built a talented network of research administrators who provide critical support to our UTRGV researchers. Your support has been key to our successes in breaking internal records. We have seen a tremendous increase of $15M in a year, with FY23 at $77.3M, compared to $62.3M in FY22.

These and many more successes would not have been possible without the commitment and skills of our research administrators, driving our ability to work together, attain exceptional results, and accomplish our goal of becoming an Emerging Research University.
