Undergraduate and Graduate Opportunities


The Mexican American Studies Program Offers a range of degree opportunities for students of all backgrounds. Some of the opportunities that are provided in the program involve our Minor, Major, Graduate Program and a Graduate Certificate in MAS.

Undergraduate Opportunities

Minor (18 hours)

  • Required courses:
    • Intro to MAS
    • Mexican American History
    • 12 hours of Electives

Major (36 hours)

  • Required courses:
    • Intro to MAS
    • Mexican American History
    • Mexican American Lit
    • 6 hours of Spanish
    • 18 hours of Electives
