PUENTES: Cultural Wealth Student Success is research based grant program funded by the Mellon Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Institute for Library and Museum Services that aims to improve student success at UTRGV through the expansion of ethnic studies. Our work includes, supporting the Mexican American Studies program, professional development in ethnic studies, course development in ethnic studies, nurturing an ethnic studies intellectual community in the borderlands, archiving of oral histories and providing UTRGV students with research opportunities and paid internships at Latino museums.
