Annual Review, Tenure & Promotion Standards

The two sets of guidelines below delineate the expectations of the Political Science faculty and provide a transparent clarification of those expectations for the persons being evaluated and for the reviewers. Appendices D.1, D.2, and D.3 are tables that succinctly summarize expected progress toward tenure and/or promotion.

“Evaluation Criteria and Standards for Annual Review, Tenure, Promotion, and Post-Tenure Review I”

The immediately succeeding standards, in their entirety, apply to all faculty in the Department of Political Science hired effective September 1, 2022 and thereafter.

“Evaluation Criteria and Standards for Annual Review, Tenure, Promotion, and Post-Tenure Review II”

The set of guidelines immediately below includes Appendix A.1, a table that concisely recapitulates expected yearly progress toward reappointment and/or promotion for lecturers.

“Evaluation Criteria and Standards for Annual Review, Reappointment, and Promotion of Lecturers”
